A Café au Lait and a Café Latte are sometimes confused with each other, as they are both milk-based coffees. However, it is worth noting that a Café au Lait like this one from Gimoka differs from a Latte by having a 'regular' coffee base, rather than Latte which is espresso based. Also, a Café au Lait is typically less frothy than a Latte.
